Marion General Hospital South Marion Medical Park
The 117-bed Marion General Hospital first opened its doors more than 115 years ago. In this long history of serving patients, the hospital has never built a satellite facility behond its main campus. This all changed on June 24, 2013, when the South Marion Medical Park opened.
The new outpatient medical center provides a full range of imaging services, including much enhanced breast imaging, X-Ray, MRI, CT/PET, laboratory specimen collection and testing, and EKG testing. It also includes primary care physician offices for approximately six physicians.
“The MGH South Marion Medical Park provides improved access to outpatient services for our patients’ convenience,” states Paul L. Usher, President and CEO. “The buidling is designed with the patient in mind, from a more streamlined registration process to more convenient parking for easy access.”
