Scott Memorial Hospital
The increased demand for modern surgical services, including Orthopedic Surgery services, led Scott Memorial Hospital to renovate and expand their surgery department into this state-of-the-art facility.
The addition wraps around the existing 1988 surgery building and includes two new Orthopedic OR Suites, new private pre/post operative areas, PACU, locker rooms, central processing and public waiting. Both existing operating rooms were gutted, rebuilt, and re-equipped. One of the operating rooms was converted to an Endoscopy Suite. The renovation also included an entirely new HVAC infrastructure.
An “off-stage” connector was also added to establish a direct link between OB and the Surgery Department. The project was phased so that the Surgery Department remained operational during the entire construction process.
