Expanded care areas, future flexibility, and vast expanses of glass highlight the new Physician Office Building. Additionally, large limestone panels on the front façade provide a solar screen and tie the building to its community, which is located in the heart of Indiana limestone country.
The new facility houses a radiology and lab suite, the outpatient pharmacy, business administration, building services, and twenty-four physician offices clustered in groups of four to maximize shared support areas. The provider care areas are designed utilizing a customizable prototypical framework that address considerations of patient care and provider movement, staff work needs, flexibility, economies of scale and construction costs. The existing hospital campus entry was expanded and incorporated into a new tree-lined boulevard that serves as the main artery through the campus.
