The
increased demand for modern surgical services led Riverview to relocate
their existing Surgery Department into this new state-of-the-art
facility. The concept was to organize eight operating rooms around a
large sterile core from which supplies were stocked to the rooms.
Patients and staff enter the operating rooms from a spacious sunlit
corridor that also brings natural light into the operating rooms.
Adjacent suites include those for Outpatient Surgery Pre/Post Operative
Care, Post-Anesthesia Recovery, Central Sterile Supply, and Surgical
Staff Facilities.
Shell space was designed on the floor below for Physician’s Offices and
in the basement for Laboratory Services, Education Services, and Human
Resources.
